Went to the eastside over the weekend to kayak into the realm of one of my favorite birds. Toward the end of the early morning paddle, I had one individual come right up to me as I sat in the reeds....waiting.
He even sang his inimitable "song" for me! :cool:

Good shots. A yellow-headed blackbird was recently reported at the Edmonds marsh. It was a rare find (code 4 in birder parlance) for this area.
 
nice! i've only seen one on this side of the mountains once, but i might have to head for the Edmonds marsh to see if i can find the one there...
