so, instead of just taking a shot of the supermoon (which i did, just for fun) like everyone else, i decided to take some shots just using the
light of the supermoon! and at 5400 feet elevation, that light is brighter and clearer than down here in the lowlands... 5D2, 24-105 @ 40mm, 30 sec @ f/8, ISO 1600. got some tracking in the stars, but the moon washed 'em out enough that it's not real noticeable.
