The Oregon Renaissance Festival is running for the next few weekends at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro. It's a small event but one of the shows thy have is a falconry exhibit. Of course I had to watch that.

In case you are wondering, the little antenna he is dragging is for a tracking beacon.

I actually have beaten you to the punch on this one Janice. I got the chance to take a lesson in falconry when we were in San Diego. It was the coolest, most amazing experience to not only get to photograph them and be in such close proximity but to actually get to hold, feed and communicate with a Harris Hawk... Incredible!
