went to Paine Field today hoping to see the Sentimental Journey fly, but they cancelled the flight demonstration because of the wind. so i settled for some close-ups on the ground, and converted to B/W to give them a stormy, moody feel...

I like the b&w shots for another reason. They look like photos of the planes you would see in old newspapers and newsreels from WWII.

I was thinking the same thing too when I saw these photos. You have an eye for the art of photography, that's for sure!

thanks, Bill... they do have that sort of "period" feel, don't they? a little more grain in the images, and they'd look like vintage news clips...
