Things have been pretty slow, even before the recent freeze. Now much of the ponds and canals are still frozen.

Very nice shots.... I have been meaning to get back down there... At least there are still some animals and birds hanging around
 
Nice shots of the nutria, Janice. At least something is happening down there. I've found things to be pretty slow during my visits up to Skagit and to Boundary Bay and Reifel in BC so far this winter.

I'll try to pop in when we come down to Portland/Vancouver for Christmas. Any more sightings of that white nutria we photographed earlier this year?

I guess it's just not here. I wonder if there was some sort of die off.
 
I haven't seen a white nutria since mid-summer. I suppose they are a pretty big target for predators.
