I spent a couple of hours with Bill Anderson trying to get some shots of the green heron youngsters. I think we were seeing younger birds than the ones in the larger nesting tree. Lighting was tough!
This was taken with the Canon 5Diii, 500mm f4L, and a Tamron 1.4x extender (700mm - full frame). 1/1250s f4.

Nice shot! They're all the same youngsters, Terry... I think the light might have been making them look a little fuzzier and frizzier than they really are. There were only three this afternoon, out of the four I saw yesterday and earlier in the week.
