The birdfest is oriented to birding and not necessarily to photographers - many of the birds were identified by their song or were, or at least seemed to be, a couple of miles away

This is the best male Harrier image I have ever made. The harrier did a quick fllyby next to Three-crabs Road in Dungeness (Canon 5Diii 400mm f5.6L with 1.4x extender hand held).

These Greater Yellow Legs in Dungeness Bay were fairly close - both shots were with the 5Diii and 500mm f4L and 1.4x extender tripod mounted.


I couldn't resist a White-crown Sparrow that posed for me on Ediz Hook in Port Angeles (400mm f5.6L and 1.4x)

We made a quick trip to Neah Bay on Sunday the 12th - there was considerable eagle action at the Makah Museum grounds of the Makah Cultural and Research Center (great Museum, btw)
