Since we live on a couple of acres, every now and then we get some interesting birds and animals.
We were delighted that recently, within the last couple of months, the California Quail have re-appeared. Now if they can stay out of sight of the Cooper's Hawks, we
might see more this spring.

Hi Christine, Thanks. I believe they are year-round here, having migrated north from California. They were introduced to Utah and Arizona.
Their populations vary - apparently they don't do well in wet weather.....go figure
