I think this is some sort of Raven, but I'm not sure. Taken at Doug's Beach in the Columbia River Gorge last Sunday. Can anyone ID it for me?

C/C requested. I've got a 5D so it isn't the fastest thing in the world for this kind of thing. Post processing is the usual- reduce noise where it is needed and smart sharpen after that.

The fractalius plugin pretty much turns the photo into a series of lines, I saw it done on a landscape before and it turned out pretty well. I use it on mostly color coordinated photos, not nitty gritty detail photos since it doesn't turn out very well. It turned...
It really depends on what you are trying to emphasize. If something is small, try a wide lens closeup with the object in the foreground and lots of sky. I'll see if I can find an example tomorrow.

Thanks for the C&C timmo, I appreciate it. Lack of funds means, I'm only using the on camera mic (birthday is coming up, so I'll probably get a better one then.) Next video I do will feature a steam locomotive and will be a bit better prepared for, that'll be some time in December.

The only really good one I've got out my dorm room window, facing south. Good storms peaking at about 25-30,000 feet, originating in southwestern Idaho, moving north at 25 knots. Localized flooding was evident after the storms moved north.
