not sure how this one got its name, but it's sure a pretty little spot. bit of a gut-buster to get to, though... not a long "hike", but very, very steep... average incline probably 60 degrees or so, for about 150 yards, with almost vertical portions. but i love those mossy boulders and that deep aquamarine pool... 5D2m 24-105 @ 50mm, 1/10 sec @ f/7.1 w/polarizer, ISO 3200...

Thanks for posting. It must have been an adventure to haul your photo equipment down and back up that steep slope.

yeah, it was a bit of a challenge. fortunately, i only took the camera and tripod with me. the rest stayed in the car. even so, it wasn't easy... even fully collapsed, the tripod kept getting snagged in the brush and ground clutter, which made the climb more difficult, to say nothing of nearly making me lose my balance a couple of times...
