Osprey and the Crow

Osprey I find such fascinating birds of prey. There not like any other raptor. This one had the crow nailed a few times and did not attack the crow.
These two dueling in the air, the crow out maneuvering the Osprey, The Osprey with superior speed. A great one on one dual.

I love osprey as well. I still have not gotten the osprey shot: an osprey catching a fish at close range.

If you are interested in osprey, I suggest the book Ospreys: The Revival of a Global Raptor by Alan F. Poole.

One of my photos was used in the book (page 170). Unfortunately I did not get credit for it.
Lesson learned: If you get a request for one of your photos to be used in a book, deal directly with the author and not through an intermediary like I did.
